A culturally rich and unique story, SPIRIT MOVES: Me & Gee Gee Willie, was crafted and brought into life by our team who could relate to the young female protagonist, Sailor, who is a descendant of a legendary Japanese Hawaiian martial artist.
But, this is not merely a martial art film. It is about how martial arts teach you to be strong not only physically, but more internally, through the eyes of Sailor who struggles with her identity and self-worth as a Japanese Hawaiian American. In the story, an unexpected encounter forces her to realize that the strength has been within her and it just had to emerge.
